Eben Sadie Kokerboom 2013
Peach, apple and hay on the nose and with time in the glass, also a little earthiness and perhaps marzipan. Extraordinarily pure, concentrated fruit on the palate – succulent on entry but the acidity providing punch, the finish long and savoury with a touch of quinine-like bitterness. Has a freshness that suggests an alcohol by volume well below its actual 14.5%.
