“Mt Vernon is a wine farm located on the slopes of the Simonsberg mountain range in Stellenbosch.
One of their wines, the Mt Vernon Malbec 2018,is a rich and complex red wine with a dark magenta core and a bright rim. The nose is full of ripe berries, with dominant notes of mulberry and blackberry, along with earthy and oaky undertones. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with complex flavors of chocolate and ripe plum that continue to develop as the wine is enjoyed. The wine still has a firm backbone of tannins, indicating that it has some aging potential. Mt Vernon Malbec 2018 make it an excellent pairing for hearty and robust dishes such as beef or lamb stews, grilled steaks, and aged cheeses.”
